Essentially, President Deal-Maker cut the worst-possible deal with Putin:

Putin gets:

- a public statement from Trump that the Russians did not meddle in the election, contradicting what US intelligence has been saying for about a year

- Those russian spies that got kicked out of the US are allowed to return to the US. 150 of them.

- Concerning Syria, the US is basically moving over to Russia's position that Assad is to stay in power and anybody who challenges him is a terrorist.

Trump gets:

- nothing
