Those Who Seek Power for Its Own Sake Should Not Have Power

That is why Donald J. Trump should not hold the office of President. Without a commitment to the common good, no person should ever be elected to that office, and Donald Trump has zero concern for the common good. He sought the office of President to benefit himself and to put another feather in his hat before he dies. Those are the wrong reasons to seek power.

The same can be said of many Republican officeholders, along with a few Democrats. We should not elect pure power-seekers to office. That should be part of every election campaign where such a person is running for office.
