The world was aghast as a first daughter sat in for her father at the Group of 20 meeting in Hamburg, Germany.

Ivanka Trump took her father’s seat among world leaders, sitting directly between Chinese President Xi Jinping and British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter was shocked:

not even sure what Trump or Ivanka were thinking about with this display. It isn't normal and they have to know that it would look weird.

How was this allowed? She has no experience, nothing of value to offer. On the other hand neither does her father, but we did not elect her. She is inserting herself into places where she doesn't belong. It's unprecedented and outrageous. Someone or something needs to reign this family in. They have over stepped their bounds.

Women utilizing their feminine wiles to get ahead strikes me as a tad gross if you do it with your Dad.

In an alternate reality this probably seems perfectly logical. When world leaders discussed global threats, Ivanka talked about the dangers of platform shoes. The men and women who dominate the globe talked about the growing threat of cyber warfare, and Ivanka pointed out her new spring collection was now available online. The world's most powerful leaders are concerned about the risk of nuclear weapons, Ivanka warned that stiletto heels could be weaponized in an instant. As the leaders of the world talked about how wealth disparity was crippling the global economy, Ivanka remarked that her line of summer sandals was deeply discounted at Amazon.com.

Its like we are living on the set of "Idiocracy" and somebody locked all the doors.
