And I can't fault Angela Merkel for those expressions. I wouldn't want to shake hands with Trump, either.

(12,676 posts)Not fat-shaming here, but added weight around the lower torso also affects the lean. As "active" as he appears with his tennis and his golf, he spends a lot of time sitting - and tweeting and his posture while sitting has always been poor; pictures of him behind his desk typically showed him using the "lean forward and listen" posture - and he always seems to lean when writing... not to mention that bent over the phone posture people who text, tweet, or play games on their phones while standing (or walking) a lot tend to develop.
His balance is probably shot.
