This argument that BCHA pits the elderly against the poor is to be

dismissed by us all. We can all be reduced to penury by health crises or poor health at any age. Do not let RW spin divide us. We are all human and in this together.

As per their intention. Why else would they distinguish "mainline social security" from SSDI? Why else would an advocate in MO recommend kicking poor people off of programs so that the benefit can be maintained for seniors? Why else would the Gov. restore that benefit a cut a program that benefits young disabled people who do not want to live in nursing homes?
This is intentional and people are reasonably trying to protect themselves.
