General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI fear that we are about to experience the greatest divide we have ever had. The
new revolution party's leader, Nina Turner, has a lot of inflammatory rhetoric where she likes to excoriate the "so called" current Democratic leadership. There are many that find her social views refreshing. There are also many who find her views offensive. Bitter, just bitter.

(36,108 posts)No one's ever GOING to hear much about her or any 'Revolution' group
When someone as high profile as Hillary Clinton or Al Gore gets on TV talking about a group splintering from the Democratic party, we'll all hear about it

(3,847 posts)was on MSNBC on just about every show at least once a week for quite some time. She was one of the VERY few that spoke truth to the DNC and the DCCC, along with the disgusting actions of the Yertle and The Boner. She has always been a great spokeswoman for women, minorities, and all Democrats. Ohio would be lucky to get her into Congress.
Al Gore will never get on TV and talk about politics ever again. Especially after his massive cock up by the demise of his TV station, if Hillary were to get on the TV machine we should ALL know what the right will do to her the second she opens her mouth.
Nina Turner is a true democrat and a leader we all need to have in our corner. She's not afraid of calling out the Democratic Party and everyone has the right to do that. I'd join her revolution any day, maybe even today.

(36,108 posts)I don't know that much about her
My point was her group isn't going to propel a major divide in the party any more than, say, Occupy! did.
The 'divide' appears to already be in the party

(68,578 posts)or anyone who spews their rhetoric. They are part of the third party riffraff coming against Democrats. I am sorry I ever voted for her in Ohio. She deserves nothing but criticism and is a Trump enabler...this group helps primary sitting Democrats including but not limited to Nancy Pelosi and Joe Manchin.

(11,001 posts)where she thinks she should be. I have no problem with those who want to support and follow her. She just needs to make up her mind if she can't tolerate the current democratic party or if she wants to start her own party. All democrats don't have to agree but petty nastiness serves no one.

We are preoccupied with this, Turner said. Its not that its not important, but everyday Americans are being left behind because its Russia, Russia, Russia!

(68,578 posts)I can't stand her. I stopped giving money to Our Revolution when I saw they were not allowing those who voted for Hillary to participate, and when she said Our Revolution would endorse Republicans.
Demsrule86
(68,578 posts)Our Revolution is an independent group. As for getting on TV stations and trashing Hillary Clinton (our nominee) and the Democratic Party...oh no doubt she was great. Trump was a big fan. She and her worthless organization are dead to me. I will give them no money and will vote for none of their candidates. I vote Democratic.

(16,672 posts)They have the internet now to keep themselves somewhat relevant.
The Democratic Establishment's job isn't to fit into their 'revolution' either. It's all the same buzz words we heard in the 60s - their 'revolution' is nothing new and they're not the only one with those ideas they think they own.
They need to go off and do their thing and quit blaming everyone else because they majority of people aren't joining in.

(65,377 posts)Nina Turner. She is mainly a self-promoter, less concerned with promoting liberal ideas in our government than with promoting herself in the media in hopes of gaining power and improving her own financial situation. She harms us and our cause.
