I love OBAMACARE!!: Indiana GOPs call for Obamacare horror stories backfires spectacularly
The Indiana Republican Party got more than it bargained for this week when it put out a call on social media for people’s “Obamacare horror stories.”
The Hill reported Tuesday that almost immediately the comments on the party’s Facebook post began to fill up with people singing the praises of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) — also known as “Obamacare.”
“My sister finally has access to affordable quality care and treatment for her diabetes,” said one commenter.
“My father’s small business was able to insure its employees for the first time ever. #thanksObama,” said another.
The Hill quoted one commenter who said that the “only horror story is that Republicans might take it away.”
“I love OBAMACARE! It has helped our family. Shame on the REPUBLICANS wanting to get rid of it… BLOOD will be our your hands!!!” said another commenter.
One mother commented, “My kids will be covered until they are out of college AND get good jobs with health coverage. Not too horrible in my book.”
“Good work, cave-dwellers of the Indiana Republican Party,” one man said. “You are getting honest answers to an idiotically-loaded question.”
