Face it, she's pretty irrelevant. There's always going to be a Jill Stein getting 1% of the vote, most of whom wouldn't vote otherwise anyway.

.

In every race, Johnson scored three times the votes than Stein, and even more so in the close swing states.

Had Johnson not run, Trump's lead in those states would have been by a hundred or two hundred thousands more.

This false narrative, that Stein cost the election is complete counter-productive bullshit. It's a fact that comes into play whenever there are more than two parties running in an election. And the strange thought that all of Stein's voters would have swung to the Democratic Party is complete lunacy. There are dozens of factors as to why the election turned out the way it did and this false Stein narrative is such a minute component.

Granted, Stein was a Trojan Horse candidate, but that doesn't explain why select Democratic strongholds outside of Philly and elsewhere had droppages of of thousands of voters in each.

And the assholes who vote third party. When I go on one of my political rants to my husband about Trump--the crescendo is ~always~ about the dumbass third party voters who made him possible.

So yeah, fuck Jill Stein.

It seems to me the should be great overlap between Dems and Greens, except for the fact that I don't hear from the Greens except during presidential elections when they seem to be choosing to be spoilers. Perhaps they are not getting any attention in media, perhaps they are not engaged enough. I think it's a fair stance to view Steins candidacy as a spoiler, for not seeing the great danger of Trump and pulling all stops to defeat him. I'd make nice with some acknowledgement of a need to bridge idealism with pragmatism.
