When there is such disregard for the truth, we end up being led by the most aggressive belief system
and that is some scary shit.
We've had lots of discussions here - loads of posts - about the natural inclination of liberals/Democrats, who have respect for learning, progress, science, change and diversity - we strive to move forward - not just ourselves, but the planet in general. and, yes, we often do seem to bring water balloons to fight nuclear warfare.
We now see what happens when a bully - a borderline personality disorder narcissist - ends up in a leadership position, surrounded, aided and abetted (and applauded) by a group of people who respect only power and money - for themselves. The authoritarian tendency makes them aggressive - with no truth, propaganda and lies become the tools to use for their control of their supporters, who are so easily misled, many of whom are so afraid of anything or anyone not like them.
But make no mistake - a twisted belief system is now pushing the agenda - and the media for the most part seems quite unequipped to know how to deal with it. I suspect much of the Democratic leadership similarly struggles - we we've said many times, this is completel uncharted territory (except in dystopian novels)
