It boggles my mind that so many of his base cling to their hero and defend him. If only they knew how quickly he would turn on them. At the slightest sign of disrespect or perceived disloyalty, he would drop them like a bad habit. He only wants unwavering loyalty. No back talk or questions will be tolerated. The things his kids could tell.....and his ex-wives have been paid off not to tell.

They absolutely cherish him. Finally there's someone who despises the media and mocks minorities, as they do. Nothing is out of bounds regarding treatment of women.

Last week was the United States track and field championships. I sampled a related website called LetsRun with a prominent message board. For some stupid reason I expected track fans to be a cut above the hateful young males I see on other sports sites. No chance. There is a marathon thread on that message board extending well beyond 7000 posts. It is a celebration of Donald Trump and everything he stands for. There are daily auxiliary threads attacking CNN.

If you drive through the South, or rural America in general, and scan the AM radio dial for your choices, along with reading message boards that young white males frequent, like sports sites, then you'll never wonder why Trump retains so much support, no matter what he says or does.

This area is almost as Red as they come. There are some democrats and independents here so all is not lost. The first time I walked into a meeting of Democrats, I almost cried because I had NO IDEA there were others who thought and voted like I did living right here in my town.

But yep, you're probably right about not finding anything that will convince the die hard trumpers that he is using them and at the first sign of disloyalty, he will drop them and if possible, get revenge. That is his way. But then they don't believe he'd ever turn on them nor they on him. They have swallowed whole the image and myth of who and what he is. I keep hoping that the TRUTH about his House of Cards empire, that is mostly smoke and mirrors, will be revealed in ways they can't deny. But I am enough of a realist to know if they had ironclad proof of his con game they would still rather cling to the lies and fakery. It is, AFTER ALL, what they want...someone like them.

One possibility is that some of the people who voted for him but are not true converts will realize how little he has done to fulfill campaign promises. There does seem to be a little softness among them. The surveys and polling indicates a lot of us are already on to his game so if only a few more defect, his numbers will go to levels that will drive him totally over the edge. He is close now, so hoping we can nudge him on into the abyss.

37% is not a re-elect number. He needs to get into the mid forties or above. He seems incapable of that.

once his craziness actually hits supporters where they live. Right now, spitefulness and basic bigotry drives the swamp fever.

Repeal without replace healthcare would be the first step to ruination. And yes, let's make sure emergency room access is denied as well. The infrastructure improvements never materializing, the shock of land owners over Eminent Domain for The Grand, Beautiful Wall. The fact that jobs have not improved for the working class and the very jobs he said he'd saved from moving off-shore are moving, not to Mexico but China. This morning I read that the Administration wants to pull energy assistance to poor, rural areas. Way to go, Little Fingers. Freeze even your supporters into numb silence. The list goes on.

Sadly, until the pinch is felt these manic supporters will carry on, carrying on. It's a virulent infection encouraged and spread by the fringe right. The destructive fever has not been broken. Yet.
