Medicare for everyone.
K-College education for everyone.
A living wage for everyone.
Respect for all people.
Respect for the environment.
An end to austerity bullshit.

We really don't need to lecture people about how much they need to give. It is about time people actually got something for their taxes.

made over $160,000 a year before we retired and never approached anything close to 50% when ALL our taxes were added up. I am just saying we have to have people give back something of themselves as having the good fortune of being an american. That doesn't mean pay more in taxes.

And average tax rates are near 40%. Yes "half" was hyperbole. The point is we are all giving but the middle class and the working poor are getting very little in return. The rich on the other hand, are getting more every year and will likely be handed yet another massive handout this year.

We don't need to sacrifice more, that is the failed rhetoric of austerity.
We need to have a government that works for all of us. All of us should have comprehensive health care. All of us should have access to education. None of us should be homeless and destitute because of losing a job. Nobody should be working full time and unable to afford food clothing shelter and transportation.
