Rather than lashing out on dimwit's 3rd grade level, they are analyzing how mentally disturbed he is, talking about Republicans who have alerted them about Chump's crazy, erratic behavior, and making it clear they are very deeply worried about the country, not themselves. Also they are pointing out his hatred of and fixation with successful women.

(65,490 posts)tweak [twēk]
VERB
twist or pull (something) sharply:
"He tweaked the boy's ear."
BumRushDaShow
(129,636 posts)twerking him, then...
The word "tweaking" is an old synonym for pinching/squeezing (e.g, "tweaking the nose" - where you might reach out and squeeze someone's nose between your folded index and middle fingers or between your thumb and folded index finger).
Laura PourMeADrink
(42,770 posts)kind of "in word" related to tweeting.
BumRushDaShow
(129,636 posts)not necessarily related to tweeting but to teasing to the degree that doesn't rise to the level of a "punch", but more like a "pluck" (or quick squeeze of the cheek or nose) -enough to sting but not really do much damage.
The whole "tiny little hands" thing in reference to Drumpf is one such thing that is a "tweak" that seems to be in universal use now in the media. So every mention of that (and Mika tweeted a picture of the Cheerios box with a child's hand as her response to him) is a "tweak". In fact, she referenced his hands originally in the clip discussing the fake Time magazines.

(42,770 posts)you especially someone as misogynistic. Although, saying that, makes me think this backfired on her
BumRushDaShow
(129,636 posts)I expect that she did it so that Schmoe could "rescue" her as part of a 2-on-1 counter-attack. That does not excuse the boor-in-chief from continuing his infantile behavior, but they know what pushes his button and he knows what pushes theirs, and so here we are.... just before the celebration of the founding of this country that he is intent on destroying piece by piece.

(36,926 posts)that wouldn't justify his crazy, boorish behavior. All Repukes will do using that is to put themselves into the same category as the Loon in Chief.

(129,636 posts)this society has allowed it to happen, has allowed him to do anything he wants, and tepidly spanks him with a wet noodle while desperately looking for some other "false equivalency" so they won't have to deal with the 3-year old meltdown.

(37,748 posts)And regardless of whether this is more grist for the mill or not, I've zero problems with anyone calling out Trump's behavior.
BumRushDaShow
(129,636 posts)The President is supposed to be a role model figure and having this man in office doing what he has been doing, is a complete disaster. The person doesn't have to be perfect and certainly we have heard about pretty much all past Presidents saying some unsavory things "in private". But Drumpf puts his dirty talk out in public and doesn't care what anyone thinks.
Laura PourMeADrink
(42,770 posts)as Trump - knowing he is so obsessed with looks - that he wouldn't embarrass me with it at some point in the future.
Guess it proves they were good friends at one time

(15,543 posts)the procedure, so what? Do you mock people when you see that they are bleeding? Do you try to embarrass them publicly because they are bleeding?
Hell no. That is sick behavior. If you are a decent human being you extend compassion and understanding.
In contrast to basic decency, the republican "family values" role model (their beloved Draft-Dodger-in-Chief) is leading generations of republican children and grandchildren into a very stanky DARK casino-freaky state of being.
BumRushDaShow
(129,636 posts)that women should be able to do what they want when they want but in the industry that is "television" (or film), until women control those industries, then they need to get the attitude that it is "none of your damn business" and move on. What you do in your private life is your private life and doesn't need to be public.
We yell 24/7 here on DU about "sick behavior" but this country is peopled by many who are just like Drumpf. You see them at "dive bars", truck stops, and risque clubs. And those folks are controlling the narrative now because they got up off their asses and voted (in many cases, for the first time).

Her & Schmoe's show is supposed to be a "political" discussion show. It's not HLN and she's not Kelly Ripa or Oprah. That is stuff best left to their sister "The Today Show" or similar.

(37,748 posts)Prophecies are yet a valid go-to. When our bias demands it of us, we read the augurs and throw the bird bones in a bowl, quickly and effectively acquiesce to a one-solution world, repeating the narrative over and over again until we believe it the only rational solution.
I like magic thinking too... almost as much as pretending magic thinking is critical thought.

(36,926 posts)That said, what Mika and Joe did during the election was shameful, and it's why I rarely watch them anymore.
But the real problem is that maniac in the White House. The more piling on we have against the crazy fucker the better. If former friends turn on him and call out his sickening behavior, I'm all for it. Hope they can help get him removed from office. This situation is becoming like an avalanche, which Chump himself set in motion.
