The world forgave us and felt sympathy for american citizens when the dolts of this country

Went with Bush.

We will not receive the benefit of the doubt with this buffoon. Our entire national identity which was usually favorable is now being questioned.

I know none of us voted for him but enough people in this sick society did. History might look at this as the beginning of the end of Americas worldwide leadership.

This is a crisis.

If Niki Haley continues with administration she is doomed career wise. If the women of the GOP do not stand up to this bastard and cast votes for the people instead of this pig, their political careers should be doomed also.

I remember when Bush was elected and that is absolutely what the people I talked with from other countries felt, they didn't get it, but we had so much good will built up, they figured it was just a thing and we would bounce back.

It's also important to note, while he was a hapless moron, W wasn't an out and out mean spirited prick, and his admin put on the normal pretense of diplomacy and dignity, it wasn't like the sopranoes sacking a sporting goods store.

tell us that they think, rightly, that we are not dependable. Even after this imbecile is ditched, he has weakened the Presidency. He has shown us how much damage one person can do to the country. He has shown the craven among us that the Presidency can be used as a cash dispenser. Even if our next President is wonderful, it will not be long before another horrible person seeks the office, and because of who we are, that person will be elected.

I can't remember where I saw it but there is a thing in some Scandinavian country when there is a gun massacre here or when we do something ridiculous on the world stage, which nowadays is daily. They roll their eyes and say, "There is America being America again."

Are the 1.2 billion people who have a communist dictatorship in China part of this world? I'll take the US in any form over that. The Russians with Putin? I'll take the US in any form over that. The hundreds of millions of people in dozens of countries who have allowed authoritarian regimes to exist ensuring their people live in poverty? I'll take the US in any form over that.

I for one am happy if America is not the "leader" of the world. Leader of the world means our military is on all seven continents. And we pay for that while we have a never ending, never solved healthcare insurance crisis and our infrastructure crumbles. We will get past Trump but we will not be able to function with endless wars and interference all over the world.
