The difference between how democrats and republicans view healthcare.

It is very simple, imo. Democrats view healthcare as a right and a responsibility of the government to deliver healthcare to all Americans. Republicans, married to a "marketplace" ideology, see healthcare as a commodity that is to be delivered as any other goods. They see healthcare as no different than any other product for sale.

I have to keep myself from laughing (and crying) every time I hear Republicans start suggesting that accessing health care services should be like shopping for a new Blu-Ray player (or computer, or TV).
