I am a small business owner in one of the most heavily taxed and regulated industries in this country, and would expand in a heartbeat if I could secure proper financing without having to give the banksters one of my kidneys to do so.

Not once ever have I thought, "I might want to not try to make more money today, because at some undefinite point in the future, taxes or regulations might change!"

Here's a clue to the idiots...taxes and regulations ALWAYS CHANGE.

He said that businesses really are looking at how the business economy is looking, not looking for MORE tax breaks (they will still have plenty of other tax incentives). You want to create jobs, take it from me, a job creator, I am a middle class employed worker who makes less then 250,000 a year with a house payment, car(s) payment, college tuition, and grocery buyer. I am a job creator. I spend in the businesses that fill warehouses, that hire workers to build stuff in the warehouses. We, the middle class are all the job creators. Give us not just a tax cut, but give us actual money to spend, not handing it to the states to disperse, usually to the local govts. If you give every employed middle class worker, $5,000 - $7,000, I know they will spend that money. The republicans have it wrong, the rich are the business owners, (some), but we, the middle class are the job creators.

my boss - a small business owner - would then be one of the hallowed job creators. It makes no difference to him whatsoever if he pays 35 or 38 percent taxes. In practice, its much less than that and there are plenty of choices he makes along the way to conform his spending to his income. One of which is absolutely not whether to hire more people or not - that depends entirely on the volume of consistent business we see.

About the only thing you could do to cause hiring in my business would be if the bulk of the customers had more spending money.

16. This is the strongest argument against extending the tax cuts.

If we get rid of the tax cuts and the government isn't running such a deficit; then the government can spend that money making necessary infrastructure improvements (in other words creating jobs).

That anyone thinks we are better off letting the excess money that the government spends sit in the hands of the wealthy because they 'might' spend that money to create jobs; is a statement indicative of just how stupid and manipulated some of the folks in this country have become.

If they are truly 'job creators'; they know that they don't pay taxes on a legitimate business expense like wages and salaries.

It seems to me that a lot of the 'job creators' (folks making over $250,000) work either for big companies at the government teet, or directly for the government.
