Just like some parents would allow a 4-year-old to discover the difference between wishes and reality.

They'll think they are on to something they desperately want, won't find anything, and they'll eventually just waste their time and efforts going after a dead end while the real investigation is going on elsewhere.

Not that it's something I would approve of - especially because it will be a bother for Ms. Lynch, who doesn't deserve this, but I can see why Feinstein let them have their toy.
