I have pre-existing conditions. If this bill becomes law, you will kill me, not just from denial of coverage due to pre-existing conditions, but also annual and lifetime caps. A slow motion death, but death just the same.
If you deliberately cause the death of someone, it is a form of homicide. If you deny millions of Americans health care and kill them, like you are going to kill me, it is genocide. If you deliberately kill millions of people, you are the moral equivalent of Pol Pot, Mao, Stalin, and Hitler.
Congratulations, Mission Accomplished.
On edit: not enough coffee earlier. Thx.

(17,338 posts)I also have a pre-existing condition. I donated a kidney 10 years ago to my Mom. Today live donations (kidney and liver) do not keep pace with the demand...imagine if the donor knew by donating they would not be able to get/afford insurance?

(31,408 posts)with how this bill is going to "strengthen" Medicaid in NC. The Republicans controlling NC refused Medicaid expansion under the ACA. And when our new Dem Governor tried to expand Medicaid after he took office in January, the a$$hole Republican leaders of the Legislature filed a lawsuit to prevent him from doing it.
(BTW, it's homicide, not homocide.)
