(90,793 posts)...and a bunch of them will be facing prison before this is over.
Psychologically, I bet a bunch of them are stuck, frozen in place. The dream job is a nightmare.
I had a boss once who was a screamer, and getting hired was my big promotion, a step up the ladder. If I had known what he was, I never would have applied for that job in the first place, but he was newly hired from out of state himself. I stuck it out for over 6 months, broke 2 molars, and finally gave 2 weeks notice. "fml" is not a recipe for living.
The big difference is that the Trump staffers *knew* what kind of employer he was and what kind of human being he is. What earthly level of self-deception led them to think they could do this?
On that basis, my sympathy for the lot of them is limited.

(82,849 posts)Yes, yes he could have, White House staffer. Instead, President Trump dangled that little tidbit out in front of the political media like it was the name of the winner of his stupid reality show. Did he or didn't he have a recording of his meetings with Comey? Tune in tomorrow! Or next week! Or next month! Who fucking knows? Because unlike his stupid reality show, Trump doesn't have an air date for The Big Reveal of whatever inane little secret he wants to hide from everyone.
And the popular media went haring after it for weeks on end: Were there "tapes"? What did the quotation marks mean, if anything? Ohmigaw, Comey said he hoped there were tapes! What does THAT mean? When, oh when will Donald finally tell us all if there are any recordings of his meetings? Drool, drool, salivate, drool.
