I wake up to fucking idiot Republicans spewing total bullshit about their impending healthcare bill and #fakepresident, and then I come here and there's yet another crazy anti-Democrat skirmish of some sort going on.
I feel like I'm under siege by both the left and the right. I will not personally suffer one bit from what Republicans are doing. Maybe I need to stop caring about others, or our nation?

Yes, I've recently seen a lot of GD discussions, some quite controversial, about all these people.
I was wondering which one was bothering you the most. But maybe you're just feeling too sad right now to say. That's fine

The Wielding Truth
(11,415 posts)The RW, with the help of the Russians, are honestly after us. They want to break democracy. It is obvious that we are in a tough battle and everyone here is trying to find a solution.
If it's contentious that means we haven't found the best answer - yet. It is coming and we must be stronger and smarter and kinder than those who wish to take our common sense society and control our reasoning so we just give them all our money and power. Not Gonna Happen if DU has anything to do with it.

The Wielding Truth
(11,415 posts)for those who want to preserve an equal and civil society which works to make life better for the poor, the working class, those who need help, and those who help others.
Honestly it is that simple and that hard when you have to stay stead fast against the greedy and
level headed against the deceitful.
Together we can make it happen. It will never be perfect and feathers will get ruffled, but we have made things better before and we will do it again with your help.

The Wielding Truth
(11,415 posts)I don't blame those who want to rip my head off when I say something about Hillary or Bernie and I can hardly ever talk about guns.
So... things were different under bush. We knew where the lies were coming from and under Obama we knew he cared and gave us his best and worked for our common goals.
Now we have a situation where we can't see our country at all. Where the fix is in and we can't find the fixer. Frustration is everywhere. Even here. I am here stuck in this mess with you and the thousands of other Du'ers who will feel our way through the mirror maze together.
I love those who are working for us in the Democratic Party and I hope there will be more everyday. We have so much more to tackle. We can not be afraid to clean up the mess and recognize the lies and boot out those who are not working for the common good. Du'ers are on the move. We are all over this country and we will make the biggest difference because for some reason we don't buy all the lies.

Some will act like they don't know what you are talking about. They have become very transparent.

(11,746 posts)but it's what we do.
It is part of the diversity of opinion on our side. We're not lock-step people like the Republicans tend to be.
It is both our greatest strength and our greatest weakness.
And a HUGE frustration to me as well.

Thanks for keeping up the good fight.
