Anybody else remember the swiftboating of John Kerry?

Do you remember how Kerry waited to respond and how the swiftboaters were able to paint Kerry and remove his biggest strength?

It seems like Obama is doing the same thing to Romney, only instead of doing it with lies he's doing it with the truth about Romney's Vulture Capitalist ways.

I like that Obama is going hard after RMoney's hidden offshore accounts, RMoney represents everything that is wrong with capitalism.
Which highlights the roll of government, to protect the public from scoundrels like RMoney.

It just wasn't reported with the same breathless coverage that the "swiftboaters" got.

The whole episode should have been dismissed, but was kept alive with endless commentary from idiots who should not have been let near a television camera.

It was a shameful period in American media coverage.

GOP convention had purple heart bandaids all over the place and they got away with it. Could you imagine if Dems mocked something as sacred as a purple heart? I'm still pissed that so many military organizations never came to Sen. Kerry's defense, what an embarrassing and shameful time in our history.
