that opportunity to the families of we, the people, the ones who actually pay for their goddamned health care that costs them so little, in the first place.

for a very long time, including when they passed that horrendous bankruptcy bill; more than half of bankruptcies are due to medical bills from major or chronic illnesses and even for those who have insurance. Yet the congress that passed it gets cadillac health care that costs them very little paid for by the same people who cannot afford that themselves.

I've tried over and over again to get my state's one teabagger congresscritter to answer this simple question: why are my husband and I, who pay a lot of taxes, paying for YOUR health care when you are doing your best to ensure that we cannot have access to the same (hubby's considered an independent contractor by his employer and affordable individual insurance plans that actually cover things without horrendous deductibles and denials are, at our ages, almost impossible to come by). Crickets. She's so against federal funding and her hubby's an insurance agent, but she has no problem whatsoever spending federal money on HER health care while denying such an opportunity to us, her constituents who actually fucking pay for it. She has no answer other than continued canned RW talking points. She can't think for herself beyond those.
