I haven't ever wished my mother or my spouse Happy Mother's day by tweet or on facebook. I can't remember the last time my biological daughter wished me happy Mother's day - by any means (although most years I get a card from the daughter for whom I'm chosen family).

I'm much more concerned about real family relationships on a daily basis than whether there is public praise on an artificially chosen day dedicated to particular family relationship.
