"alleged" "could have cost elections" "may happen if we are not careful"
I think trumper knows something we have all seen - it is hard to keep outrage up, humans gradually adjust, normalization occurs, the eye comes off the ball because it isn't "breaking news". He is using gaslighting, misdirection, shell games to overwhelm people's ability to stay focused.
I grow more outraged each day since election theft day. I wish we had a process - a media - that had laser focus...I wish we had deep throat types. I with that someone would rescue this country from the monstrous leadership in place and turn the ship back around.
"alleged" my ass. "Hillary was the wrong candidate - Hillary didn't campaign well" - my ass.
This election was stolen - and the perps can't be allowed off the hook.

(54,770 posts)It feels good at the moment and we can hope Russia and other Trump crud takes him down, but we lost the Presidency and have been losing Congressional races for some time.

(56 posts)..look, we need more than just Dem's to win these elections, right? we need some folks who are on the sidelines, or voted R last time. We're not going to win them over if every time we lose an election we "swear it was stolen"...that begins to look pathetic after awhile. We need a better message than that! without proof that EVERYONE can understand, and see, it just sounds like sore losing. We can do better.

(4,642 posts)by russian cyber warfare, by GOP voter suppression, by corporate unregulated media, by GOP gerrymandering. Much of this has been going on or was in the planning for a long time and has affected past elections.

(54,770 posts)I have yet to see any evidence -- but a few anecdotes, even some by white wingers -- that they were turned away from polls for not being registered. Of course, those folks didn't vote in previous elections and should have checked their status. The voter ID laws hurt, but most were overturned. Where they weren't, where were we helping to get people IDs, it wasn't hard to do.
Our side hates the corporate media, their side hates the liberal media.
The media presented Trump -- and all his hatefulness and stupidity -- on TV plenty long enough for those who actually care to see what a POS he is. Instead of blaming the voters, we whine about the media.
We'll continue to lose with excuses like that.
