I am always amused that there are International Relations experts who don't factor in these cultural battles.

I used to date a Brit who was a huge Cricket fan; he played too. He tried to explain it to me but I never got it.

Growing up we lived close to the community ground and on Saturdays all the boys went to cricket.
Dad was an athlete in his youth and was involved in sports administration so we were always allowed to go to sports grounds.

Well as teenage girls we were out to impress the neighborhood boys so we begged our friend's dad (he was an umpire to teach us the rules). After that all the girls in our group knew the basics and then the boys would explain the intricacies since they were delighted that we knew more than four and six
Mom used to umpire our neighborhood backyard matches during the long holidays. I fell in love with the game.

Well done, Pakistan. A truly impressive victory. Excellent work both with bat and ball...and in the field.

I thought Pakistan might regret dropping Kohli on 5. But the next ball...great catch.

My team (Australia) were disappointing, to say the least. My second team is India. For no particular reason. But the (much) better team won on the day.

I knew they couldn't lose when it was 33/3 - too many runs to chase.
My first and only team is West Indies but we suck really bad these days. India comes to the West Indies tomorrow for our series. Most West Indians like Pakistan as our second team because our cricket is so similar and mercurial.

OZ is having the money battle we had a few years ago.

The book is even better- love Winkler's books.

The lunatic was the only sane person.

I'm fine
