We Have To Protect Ourselves From This Russian Hacking To Never Happen Again - But Also.....
we need to protect ourselves from electing a person like a Trump again as well.
I know that the Russians attacked our democracy and if we don't do something to prevent this from happening in the future we're going to lose our democracy. This is the number one issue we have to deal with.
However, we also need to protect this country from ever electing a person like Trump again who takes advantage of the position of president to break laws and benefit - without virtually little accountability or consequences of their actions.
First - any candidate running for president needs to be required to submit themselves to a complete medical physical and psychological examination.
Second - they must be required to divulge their taxes - so we can also get a financial gauge on the candidate.
Third - if elected - they must not have the ability to pardon any of their staff, employees, that committed crimes to help them attain the presidency. They need to be subject to the same laws as any citizen of this country.
Fourth - they must not be able to fire any government employee that is appointed to investigate the potential of wrong-doing by the president or his/her people.
Our founding fathers never anticipated a Trump-like person when they created our Constitution and now that we've experienced first hand the effects of such a person - we need to build in safeguards in our system to prevent a Trump-like person from ever again gaining the position and power of a Trump.
I may have not been able to express myself in this post the proper way to prevent a Trump-like person from ever attaining such power and impunity - but I think you understand what I'm getting at and we as the American People must demand from our elected officials that they work on not letting such a thing happen to us again.
