Oh lordy, it took Nixon 5 years to lose his shit; it's taken Dolt 45* less than 6 months

Now an Angry and Frightened Trump is ‘Yelling at Television Sets in the White House’

June 17, 2017 Mark Howard Politics

The walls are closing in around Donald Trump. At least that’s the way he must be feeling as the investigations into his criminal misconduct proceed. Every day seems to produce another incriminating discovery. And the scope of the investigation grows to encompass more associates and more disturbing improprieties. Everything from his his unsavory Russian connections to his financial conflicts and constitutional breaches are being scrutinized.

Trump Hates His TV

So this may be a good time to check into the mental state of our President, which has been questionable for some time. His incoherent outbursts and self-destructive tweets paint a picture of a troubled mind. And when the Associated Press sought answers from within the Trump circle, what they found should be of concern to all Americans.

“Trump advisers and confidants describe the president as increasingly angry over the investigation, yelling at television sets in the White House carrying coverage and insisting he is the target of a conspiracy to discredit — and potentially end — his presidency.”

Yikes. So instead of wandering around the White House mumbling to portraits of better presidents than he could ever hope to be, Dolt 45* wanders around the White House yelling at the televisions. Beyond pathetic. He won't last a year, much less 4. It's all getting to be just too much for his fragile little man/boy ego. He's going to snap. I just hope he doesn't try to take the rest of us with him.

1. I am not excusing the actions of Nixon but this one brought many of his problems into the WH.

I doubt if this much corruption has arrived at the WH.

Trump is in over his head. He keeps trying to use the same old tricks he used as owner/CEO of his companies. They don't work in government.

3. The real comparison is to watergate, not to nixon himself

The scandal is similar, but the personalities are very different.

Nixon was a rather intelligent and very politically savvy person. Of course I disagreed with his politics, but I can recognize him as a skilled politician. He is in many ways a tragic figure who accomplished a lot but was undone by his inner demons.

Benedict Donald is not at all a tragic figure. He is a very bad joke of a politician. His biggest political talent is watching foxnews. His motives and views are entirely selfish and hateful. He stumbled into the presidency mainly due to the failings of the media and the electoral process and criminal help from comey and the russians. His accomplishments are more a statement about our institutional inability to keep horribly unqualified people out of power than it is a testimony to anything on his part.

Nothing like nixon, really.

He also had more than a little help from voters who were too stupid to realize they were being conned, bigly.

7. There's no denying that, but much fault lies with the media

They really, really fell down on any semblance of civic obligation.

Aside from a foxnews network that is straight out of a goebbels' wet dream, the rest of our media largely portrayed Benedict Donald as an exciting sensation who they couldn't wait to see what he'd say next.

Yes, the information was out there to make s wise decision, but they gave him a ridiculous amount of help.

In years gone by, he would have been dismissed early on as a fringe candidate and lost in a landslide.

...that he rails so against the media now, because he would not be in the WH now if if the media had given him the attention his qualifications deserved - NONE!

.

Nixon perfected the paranoid fascist US president model for others to copy.
