Virginia Shooting Suspect Was Distraught Over Trumps Election, Brother Says.

'The man suspected of opening fire on Republican members of the congressional baseball team early Wednesday morning was distraught over the election of President Trump and traveled to Washington in recent weeks to protest, his brother said on Wednesday.

The suspect, James Thomas Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Ill., died in a Washington hospital after a shootout with the police.

“I know he wasn’t happy with the way things were going, the election results and stuff,” his brother, Michael Hodgkinson, said in a telephone interview shortly after he received the news on Wednesday. He added that he was not close to his brother and had not been aware why he remained in Washington.

“Totally out of the blue,” he added, saying that his brother was engaged in politics but otherwise led a normal life.'>>>

Good grief! Can the brother just keep quiet long enough to let the investigation conclude? Is he SO interested in a moment in the spotlight that he can't just say "no comment".

The best advice for anyone contacted by a media outlet when a situation has occurred is to say "no comment". You can always say more at a later time, but you can NEVER retract what you have already said.

It gives to people that are anti social a cause. And if those people are unbalanced, that cause typically lead to violence.

The brother also probably felt a need to say "I'm not like him".

As we both know - there is NO neat easy reason to these things.

by a less-than-anonymous source in the interests of openness and transparency.

For those who hate secrecy when an investigation is being conducted. There are a lot of those sorts out there these days. People who divulge information that is sensationalistic because "no comment" is so boring, and those who feed off of it and think "no comment" must mean a government cover-up.

With that perspective in mind when you ask the question why did he vote for Stein? I think the perpetrators ability to think critically, and rationally was impaired.

He didn't like Obama and was outspoken about how much he hated the DNC and Hillary. Those factors would have come out quickly here and not exactly earned him a key to DU.
