Secret Service throws Cheeto under the bus....No Audio or Transcripts of Any Tapes in WH

Secret Service Has No Audio or Transcripts of Any Tapes Made in Trump White House

The U.S. Secret Service says it has no recordings of any conversations in President Trump’s White House.

The law enforcement agency responded to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by The Wall Street Journal seeking any recordings or transcripts. While the agency said they did not posses either, that does not preclude the possibility that other individuals or agencies recorded White House conversations secretly.

1. Assuming Trump didn't have some other agency or his private goons do it.

But that seems pretty unlikely from the descriptions I've read of the meetings and where they were located.

5. Depends on the jurisdiction. D.C. is a one-party consent jurisdiction.

Only 1 person in the conversation need to know that it is being recorded (ie: the person doing the recording).

There are apps for smartphones that automatically record conversations and file them. Be careful what you say to others, people!!

6. Trump's security guy could have set up a system

It is very odd though that Trump said he would never do the things the dossier said he did in Russia because he knew the hotels were recording but that Trump himself suggests he has tapes of his personal one on one meeting with Comey.

So creepy.

planted by the best security people, the greatest, that records everything. On this recording device, which has 80 quadrillion gigabytes of storage, is also the information on Obama's "real" birth certificate, Melania's perfectly legal immigration status, Trump's purely innocent tax returns, where Jimmy Hoffa is buried and all the information on Obama's wiretapping his phones.

15. Doesn't the Secret Service check to make sure there aren't any?

Surely they sweep the Oval Office and any other location that the President uses for listening devices. Especially aftersomeone like the Russian Foreign Minister and his "assistant" pay a visit.

They are not saying there aren't any, only that they do not possess any.
