It is part of the transition to go against constitution publicly and set precedent that it no longer matters. On the way to autoritarianism. He is driven by exreme hate and is willing to take the risk.

Please, for all our sakes, remove the urge to hope they will get out the knives and stab each other. They will never do anything even remotely resembling the right thing. If they were capable of that they wouldn't be Republicans.
