There were two facts in "JFK."
Kennedy was shot and killed.
Garrison put Clay Shaw on trial.
The rest of that movie is pure bullshit.
Something the Garrison groupies don't like mentioning, Garrison was a vicious homophobe, and that was in his original theories, calling the "ring" that "murdered Kennedy" a "Homosexual thrill kill group."

(35,442 posts)and their hope is that he will revitalize Communism in Russia. In a nut shell, this is the problem with the American left. There's no pragmatism in their thinking. No planning. No working to build sustainable political organizations. There's nothing but blind passion.
It's all about hero worshipping, Snowden, Sanders, Chavez, Putin, etc. It's akin to how religion works. There will be a great savior who will come to our rescue and lead us into the promised land.

(9,350 posts)I am not sure she was the only one doing her job during that interview. I think she was the main person to take the lead. Gayle King also tried to do some follow up. I will say, for some reason Charlie Rose seemed to be falling down on the job.
However, I will say, Norah O'Donnell is a really good journalist. When she wants to she can really go after an interviewee. She gave Ted Cruz hell during one of her interviews with him. She kept calling out his lack of information and his misinformation. I think she may also have been the one to make Paul Manafort stutter after asking him a question about Trump's ties to Russia.
Oliver Stone did come across as foolish and gullible in that interview. He seemed to believe that a guy who came out of the KGB would not lie to him. Vladimir Putin is a career spy. Of course he would lie to anyone and everyone. Stone also tried to claim that he could not come away with a clear idea of who Putin was after spending only 20 hours with Putin. It does not take more than 20 hours to come away with a clear idea of a person.
