3. How is being a liar not being a crook?

Both are evidence of a lack of integrity, and under some circumstances lying IS a crime. If I admit I lie all the time about everything but never actually steal anything, does that make me a better person than someone who doesn't lie but drives away without paying after pumping gas? Or a worse one? If I cheat on my income taxes that's both lying and stealing. It's a dumb distinction.

Yet, it is considered a crime if you lie while on the stand after taking oath. Does this mean if this asshole lies on the stand after he takes oath it will not be a crime only for him?
