Yes.

Trump tweeted this morning that thanks to his amazingness, the unemployment rate is down to 4.3%. For those factually challenged creatures (i.e., lower life forms; planaria, ass ticks, reptiles, lampreys, amphibians, conservatives), Trump didn't have diddly-squat to do with that. We're still surfing the Obama wave.

Let's review early 21st Century history:

When Barack Obama was elected, he inherited Bush's collapsing economy. The unemployment rate on Election Day 2009 was 7.8% and rising fast. We were losing 775,000 jobs per month. By the time he signed the American Recovery Act (the second stimulus), a bill that EVERY SINGLE Republican in the House opposed, and only 3 in the upper chamber accepted; Specter, Snowe and Collins, unemployment peaked at just below 10%... Which inspired the Republican's infantile chant: "Where are the jobs?"

When Obama left office in January of this year, he handed Trump a fully recovered economy with 4.7% of the work force on unemployment. It has since dropped another .4%, down to 4.3%. That .4% works out to around 600,000 jobs in four months. Or, around 150,000 per month. Impressive, huh? Except for the fact that Barack Obama added nearly 200,000 jobs per month for EACH AND EVERY MONTH since shoving through the American Recovery Act against the GOP's intransigent will.

The bottom line is that the American Recovery Act worked like a charm. And only 3 Republicans in Congress had the guts to support it: Arlen Specter (who not long after left the GOP), and the two ladies from Maine. And now Trump and his fellow liars are trying to lay claim for today's unemployment figures, and deflecting responsibility for the suffering caused by a crippling recession that their own failed economic policies created.

So while it's accurate to say the unemployment rate today is 4.3%, Trump had bupkis to do with that. He was just lucky enough to follow in the footsteps of a President who was five times smarter than he is.

It's ironic... Trump's entire agenda seems to be focused on erasing the Obama legacy. All except for the Obama economy, which he's trying to repackage as the Trump economy. Once again, he fails to understand the concept of history: It's already written down. And the recovery was Obama's doing, whether Trump chooses to believe it or not.

But once Trump's own economic policies begin eroding at the workforce, we all know whose fault will it be: Obama's.

it will get us nowhere to say: 'For those factually challenged creatures (i.e., lower life forms; planaria, ass ticks, reptiles, lampreys, amphibians, conservatives), Trump didn't have diddly-squat to do with that.'

It must be EXPLAINED that Trump had bupkis to do with that, and then THIS commercial should be the script for ALL, NOT just Democrats as the OP presents: https://www.democraticunderground.com/1017443467
