I made a promise if things started to go bad I would tell trump voters what I think of them. This includes friends and my brother.
I am not holding back. I am prepared to fight if I have to. I am now telling trump voters they voted for someone who is mentally ill. I know this because I have been working with the mentally ill for 13 years. I know what it looks like.
I am telling them they have made an ancient mistake that has been repeated throughout history. They listened to what sounded good and completely ignored who was saying it. Thats what cult followers do.
I am telling them they are selfish people. I just told my brother this. My brother is well off. He is a good guy, takes care of his family. His problem is he wants a big tax break. He knows trump is crazy but all he cares about is a tax cut. Selfishness is a big problem in America.
I am now telling trump voters, when you finally realize you were conned it will be to late. You and your family may get hurt very badly. What kind of excuse are you going to make up then.
Today I told a close friend who voted for trump because trump said he would take care of the vets. You were fooled. You were conned. Obama took care of the vets big time. I told him, look at trumps budget he just put out. Google it. Look at what he is doing for the vets. He lied to you. He is going to take credit for everything Obama did. I told my friend he doesn't know how good of a president Obama was to the vets. My friend went silent.
Needless to say I have lost my patience with trump voters. Game on. They have put me and my family at risk. It looks like I am going to follow in my fathers footsteps. My dad got into fights when he was seventy years old. He hated stupid. I once asked my dad, Why did you get into a fight. You are to old to fight. My dad said, He made fun of marine corp hat. So I punched him. I said Ok.

(34,661 posts)Just went down that road a couple of weeks ago. Once I told the Bro that Trump wants VA cuts, holy cow,the phone went dead. He has been getting PTSD Mental Health treatments at his States VA. It has taken forty plus years to get him in treatment.

(4,379 posts)It does not matter. I am very old school like my dad. Right is right, wrong is wrong. What is happening now is not acceptable. It is a threat. My dad was not perfect. But he was honest, he had honor. He was a very tough guy. I will put it to you this way. My dad was Irish, roman catholic, a marine, and he worked on the loading docks his whole life until his back fell apart.
I am 58 years old. I do not want to get into a fight. Too old. When I was younger I got into to fights to set things right. I guess I will have to do for the rest of my life.

(9,426 posts)the head of CBS made the stupid statement "Trump is bad for the country, but good for ratings" Joe Scarborough agreed,, giving tRump lots of free exposure. Now Joe Schmo is regretting doing that, now that it is too late. The Russians were not the only fools helping Don the Con get into the WH and screw over the entire country.
Good for you!

(26,659 posts)we used to be friends, our daughters went through school together. She supported trump. I could barely talk to her. She started talking about our kids and I said, I don't think they have a very bright future right about now. She gave me a weird look, I said, see ya, and walked away.

(49,047 posts)Republican and tRump brands are bound together and everybody in the public must have this fact cemented in their minds by constant framing of language and repeatedly calling him what he is: Republican President Trump.
2018 and 2020 depend on it.
Start now.

(11,410 posts)We HAVE to stop treating Repukes as if they give 2 shits about anybody besides themselves. These are the same kind of people who in yesteryear believed that slavery was 100% okay and tried to justify it,,, even willing to go to Civil War to protect their fat wallets. We had rich plantation owners back then and today we have rich corporation owners

They never had any qualms about spouting their right wing crap to us. We too often said nothing, just to keep the peace. Maybe if we had spoken up more often in the past, we would not be in the mess we are in now.

(176 posts)All the trumpettes in my area will surely get theirs, and I will be the first to rub it in their faces. I'm already doing that, saying "I told you so" and when I hear them complain, I say "You voted for it!" IMO, if you are a 'emotional' or one issue voter, you should not be allowed to vote until you have educated yourself on the whole agenda. People are too lazy to look stuff up or they will go to the right-wing crazy websites that just affirm their misled beliefs. When I suggest they try a neutral site, they just refuse. You really CAN'T fix stupid!!
