RW media is pure propaganda meant to manipulate these people into being angry and afraid. Strong motivator for sure. TPTB pick the targets, Hillary, Pelosi, Soros...and hammer them home. This must not be allowed!
The other part of the equation is education, or lack thereof. For years Republicans have sought to cut education, attack teacher's unions, testing out of the wazzoo. The result, a workforce that cannot do any semi-complicated or skilled task. People that work multiple jobs for low pay. They only catch little snippets of news, but it fires them up.
The focus always needs to be on identifying the problem, coming up with a solution, then executing. We have these now brainwashed citizens with no empathy or basic understanding of the events around them.
The mass media needs to have a lot more ethisists like the young man on Mahar. We need to install a truth standard and clearly define what is news and what is entertainment. We also need to stop paying lip service to our educational system. That is the path forward for lifting Americans up in the world.
