The Real Story Behind Donald Trump's Phony Coal Cookout Celebration

‘BIG OPENING’
The Real Story Behind Donald Trump’s Phony Coal Cookout Celebration

That new mine opening on his watch? It got started under Obama, because of climate change in Australia and the demands of Chinese steel mills.

If his golf and presidential schedules allow, President Donald Trump will follow the withdrawal from the Paris climate change by attending a speedway cookout in celebration of the opening of a new coal mine in Pennsylvania.

“The mines are starting to open up,” he said as he announced the withdrawal from the pact on Thursday afternoon. “We’re having a big opening in two weeks.”
He went on: “A big opening of a brand new mine’s unheard of. For many, many years that hasn't happened.

He was speaking as if the new Acosta mine in western Pennsylvania were another of his fantastic accomplishments. He seemed to see confirmation of this in an invitation to chow down at the Janesville Speedway Complex on June 8.
“They asked me,” he said. “I’m going to try.”

Only, the digging of the mine had begun two months before the presidential election. The Corsa Coal Company had been responding to a climate change-linked rise in the price of the particular kind of coal found there.

Coal smoke is poisonous and would make his Trump rump steaks taste like absolute shit, not that they were that great to start out with. However, the sulfur and other horrible chemicals in coal gas would mean he couldn't get that first bite down.

It tastes better to me. I don't see the point of Gas Grills. We inherited a Gas Grill with our new house. Used it once. No difference in taste than getting out my cast iron grill pan and cooking a steak on my electric stove top which also has an air vent. Easier and more convenient than walking outside, going up and down a flight of stairs just for the sake of cooking outside. Why bother when there is no taste difference? Why bother buying propane when I have electricity in my own house? In case you don't know, cast iron is great for getting a nice brown crust.

Sorry to disagree. Have you ever been to a restaurant which smokes their own meats outside for hours? Stay away from those. Should be banned too in addition to Charcoal BBQ'ing?
