(23,964 posts)i've heard their "wise use" pundits blather on about "stewardship of creation", as you call it, and from their point of view it seems to be about extracting all the non-renewable resources they can before Jesus comes back

(13,903 posts)admitting that man can destroy the world without Jesus coming back to smite the heathens and such whilst they look on at the right hand of God....that kinda screws with the whole eternal life thing.
Also as long as the world is here to exploit they have somewhat of an excuse to screw over others for profit.
