Why are leaks are so important in the investigation of Trump?

Why are there so many leaks and is Trump upset or is he using them to advantage?

My thoughts: 1) they are the window into what is going on with the White House.
2) the turbulence in the staff at the White House is the main reason for leaks, because
no one is happy with their leaders, Priebus, Bannon, Spicer, and the big fish, Trump.
3) Trump says he is upset, but he is the main leaker. He can't keep his mouth shut. He rather
run his mouth and thinks he knows more than everyone else!

since Donald can't keep his mouth shut, he has talked about it in front of Whit House staff. He knows they know.

2. If You Are WH Staff - Why Leak?.....

Why don't they just resign and get as far away from this crazy man as possible?

Already we know that he's having a hard time filling positions because no one will work for him. What would happen if there is a mass resignation at the WH? It couldn't function on a day to day basis.

For sure - it would put the country in great peril as our enemies would probably take advantage of the situation.

Perhaps something like that would wake up the Repugs and force them into putting the Country before Party.
