Kochsucker Mick Mulvaney: The day of the CBO 'has probably come and gone'

White House Office of Management Director Mick Mulvaney on Wednesday opened fire on the Congressional Budget Office, asserting in an interview with the Washington Examiner that the day of the institution as an authoritative non-partisan arbiter of legislation "has probably come and gone."

He is right up there with Ryan, Trump and O'Connell now as far as I'm concerned. I want him out on his fat, white ass.

He just doesn't like that they aren't buying the "magical crap" the administration is trying to sell about growth. It was Voodoo economics when Reagan proposed it in 80 and GHW Bush called it out, it is Voodoo economics now.

This is the conservative playbook (again, from the 80's and 90's) when reality doesn't fit your view, you don't rethink your ideas, you attack reality. That is the purpose of Fox News and all of the followers that came along on the internet.

1. Steps up Administration’s misleading attacks on CBO’s health reform estimates. See http://www.cbpp.org/blog/cbo-correctly-predicted-historic-coverage-gains-under-aca (CBO Correctly Predicted Historic Coverage Gains Under ACA)

With this prescient conclusion:

2. Impugning -- for no good reason -- the independence of a career, non-political appointee.

3. Attacking an important democratic institution -- it appears to undermine its very purpose:

"It's precisely when a President tries to politically dictate numbers that a truly independent CBO/truly indep econ agencies are needed most."

4. Coming from an Administration that put out a budget with >$7 TRILLION in gimmicks:

"I’m not sure people truly appreciate the Madoff-level accounting fraud involved in Trump’s budget."

5. & all for v short-term gain. Ignoring CBO estimates won’t make the uninsured & sick AHCA will cause disappear:

"Again, it's a whole lot easier to attack CBO in 2017 than explain to someone in '18 or '20 why you voted to take away their health care."

Too much info to try and decipher. Most people will not know, nor understand what is or has happened until it affects them. There has to be a way to make talking points easier to understand.

We are definitely on information overload!

Alger Hiss got sent to the slammer for less than this once upon a time. Republicans are re-doubling their efforts to destroy our constitutional form of government.
