....would have said, "We will get to the bottom of any Russian interference in our elections. We cannot permit such actions, by any country, in the process that is the cornerstone of our democracy. I will support an independent commission to turn over every rock and stone until we get to the truth. The American people can rest assured that we will get to the bottom of this and the Russians will pay a high price for interfering in our elections."
But, he never said anything close to that.
Instead, he tried to cover up and hide the truth about any Russian involvement in our elections.
Instead, he planted seeds of doubt and had his campaign and transition team meet secretly with the Russians. He even met privately with them behind closed doors at the White House and exposed top secret information to them. Everyone wanted to attribute it to ignorance or stupidity. But, was it?
He has torn down our institutions as if they were competitors in the business marketplace. He has lied repeatedly. He has obstructed the investigation at every turn.
He has created a crisis of confidence in our country unlike any in our lifetimes. He has bad-mouthed our former leaders and everyone that might disagree with him. He has been a cancer upon our nation and he continues to mestastasize with each passing day.
All he had to do was display just a hint of seriousness and honesty and show that he cared about the country he asked to lead. He has failed miserably. He acts more like a Russian agent than an American citizen, let alone the President of the United States.

(24,259 posts)This is NOT how an innocent person/people behave. This is not normal.
The constant deflect, project, distract, etc IMO should wave a HUGE red flag for anyone with even half a brain.
