"Some working-class people still buy into it. They're fucking stupid. Trump is the Titanic."

‘Trump doesn’t care about workers’: Carrier employees react to announcement that 632 jobs are moving to Mexico

Chuck Jones, president of United Steelworkers Local 1999, which represents workers at Carrier’s Indianapolis plant, said when he heard Trump’s announcement, “I almost threw up in my mouth.” Jones and other union officials said Trump knew before he got up on stage that 550 jobs were going to Mexico. “It really pissed me off he misled people their jobs might be saved. He didn’t want to get up and tell people part of the plant is going to stay and part of the plant is going to Mexico.”

Jones sparked a controversy by telling the Washington Post Trump “lied his ass off” about saving 1,100 jobs. The Raw Story visited Indianapolis in January and sat down with Jones and 16 other workers at three Indiana factories where Trump said he would save jobs.

Jones says he is “bitter” about 1,600 workers being given the boot from that plant, the Rexnord factory, and a second Carrier facility in Huntington. And his opinion of Trump hasn’t softened. “I didn’t trust Trump when he was running, playing on working-class hopes. This guy who has businesses in other countries and wraps himself in the American flag.”

Jones is dismayed at how Trump pulled the wool over people’s eyes. “Sad thing is people bought into it then, when he was a candidate. Some working-class people still buy into it. They’re fucking stupid. Trump is the Titanic. The greatest ship ever and it fucking sunk. He said he’s going to save this country and if he keeps going like he has, he’s going to sink the country.”

Trump will really sink the country if he can get his way on a lot of his agenda. It will accelerate our descent into 3rd world status. We'll have a small wealthy elite (less than 1%), then a small middle class made up of skilled service persons (plumbers, electricians, engineers, lawyers - because the elites won't stop suing each other, medical professionals, etc) and then a vast working class who are living paycheck to paycheck, at best.

Such stupid people. They're complaining that the terror attack in Britain didn't wipe out the Russia investigation from the news. They wanted it to monopolize the airways and because it didn't, they go the other end and say that the media is not reporting on the terror attacks to defer to the Russia investigation. Do you see where this twisted logic will lead us?

I can only conclude that they have no center of logic. They're full court inductive thinkers, moving facts around to meet whatever end they think is appropriate for the moment. Just because they believe one thing on one day, doesn't mean they'll believe it the next. You can't reason with people like this, and you can't build trust, and you can't run a country.

Damn. They're harolding Trump's ability to fly from Saudia Arabia to Israel like it's a sign that he holds more power than any president before him. They don't get it.

a MAJORITY of working class Americans (championed by people like Senator Sanders and allied Democrats who sounded the alarm that working class and poor Americans of all racial, ethnic, and other demographics are still hurting) voted for OUR candidate, Hillary Clinton.

If a group which votes WITH US, gets called out as "fucking stupid," what does that say about the groups (like, say, upper middle class white women and men) who voted in a majority FOR TRUMP (against their self-interest) even AFTER OBAMA HANDED THEM THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM with better health care, better homes (i.e., low interest rates and moderated rise in housing costs), ballooning 401Ks, etc.?

Are THEY "fucking stupid?"

Are THEY "deplorable?"
