Posted By: Steven E. Johnson May 22, 2017
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross appeared on CNBC bragging about not getting protested in Saudi Arabia where protesting is illegal and results in certain death.
Donald Trump traveled to Saudi Arabia over the weekend to close an arms deal with Saudi officials. During that time, Secretary Ross boasted there was not a single hint of a protester anywhere there during the whole time we were there.
News anchor Becky Quick suggested that the lack of protest could be the result of Saudi Arabia being a police state where non-violent protests often result in substantial jail time. Ross brushed the notion off stating that he had received two gigantic bushels of dates from Saudi security personnel, believing it symbolized the countrys appreciation calling it a from-the-heart, genuine gesture..
The other thing that was fascinating to me, there was not a single hint of a protester anywhere there during the whole time we were there. Not one guy with a bad placard, said Ross.

(15,805 posts)2. Trump has already said he wants to imprison the press.
From there to making them "disappear" isn't a farfetched notion.

in arms to a country that doesn't allow peaceful protest. Fuck you drumpf.
