(16,877 posts)I often find myself listening to Woody when I'm dealing with tough issues. Sometimes it feels like he's speaking from the grave. I think that speaks to the applicability of his message and how some things haven't changed.

(16,877 posts)Woody Guthrie slapped that on his guitar and he meant it and lived it. History certainly does rhyme at times. The fascists are back, but our voices and our music and our protest will bury them again, if we are willing to fight for our principles.
