Bradley Manning has another hearing July 16-20. We already known something doesn't make sense about this case, but reporters are having trouble getting info., and well there is that Assagne connection thing too... But how many know: "They say he was in emotional turmoil, partly because he was a gay soldier while U.S. armed forces still barred gays from serving openly. The defense also claims Manning's apparent disregard for security rules during stateside training and his increasingly violent outbursts after deployment were red flags that should have prevented him from having access to classified material."
So while Manning was not the only one in his Unit with access to this material maybe he is a suspect because serving in the military while being gay, and being barred from serving openly was making him retaliate by revealing this computer info.? Something is very strange here.....
Learned Helplessness
Effective interrogation is based on the concept of using both physical and psychological pressures in a comprehensive, systematic, and cumulative manner to influence HVD behavior, to overcome a detainees resistance posture, the CIA report said.
The goal of interrogation is to create a state of learned helplessness and dependence conducive to the collection of intelligence in a predictable, reliable, and sustainable manner.
The report said a typical session one would start as the HVD is brought into the interrogation room, and under the direction of the interrogators, stripped of his clothes, and placed into shackles.
After a round of questioning that would include some slaps and slamming the prisoner against a wall sleep deprivation and dietary manipulation (which along with nudity are regarded as conditioning techniques) are begun.http://www.consortiumnews.com/2011/030411b.html
The legal argument the government is putting forward to support this motion is as disturbing as the motion itself. As we previously explained:
The government [prosecution] declared that it does not believe that PFC Mannings motives, or even whether or not the U.S. was actually damaged in any way by the releases, are relevant to its case for the Aiding the Enemy charge. The government contends that life in prison is warranted for soldiers who release information that hypothetically could be used by the enemy. The prosecution also considers irrelevant the issue of whether making the information public might benefit citizens of the U.S. or its allies.http://www.bradleymanning.org/activism/support-bradley-during-his-next-hearing-july-16-20
Journalist Alexa OBrien was threatened with arrest and loss of credentials for investigating at Fort Meade. OBrien, who has covered Bradley Mannings trial in detail from its inception, was attempting to learn why the press room at Ft. Meade was closed during Bradleys most recent motion hearing. When she started asking questions, Ft. Meade personnel told her she was being disruptive, that shed broken rules, and that she could be arrested or have her credentials revoked.
OBrien recorded audio of her discussions and included the recordings in her report of the incident.
The ongoing investigation of those advocating for openness in the Manning case and the attempt to frighten journalists prompts one to wonder what the government has to hide regarding its prosecution of Bradley Manning.http://thenewamerican.com/usnews/item/11949-army-admits-its-investigating-bradley-manning-supporters?tmpl=component

"Aiding the Enemy" motion will be discussed it sounds like... But it doesn't sound like the Govt. has a good case to support it... other than they say he is guilty of releasing info...
