And very few people or legislators opposed it.
Certainly Trump will demand even broader executive powers as soon as an opportunity presents itself, and if done with any skill at all, once again we will all, for the most part, eagerly agree to it.

He'd call it something like the "American Way Act for Rights, Honor and Order," and all the NAZIs would get the hidden meaning, and his mindless supporters would think it was just another version of the PATRIOT Act, and any Congressperson who voted against it would be lambasted in the media with questions about why they opposed The American Way. Etc etc.

It would be stupid as hell to do it though and it would be completely unconstitutional as well.

And Maduro each had passed a time or two?

The earlier version had a lot of DUers support it.

The last time, not so much. Some learned not to support autocracy, at least not out loud.

that as soon as they give support to the pollster on the phone and hang up, they will resume their conversation in their living room about how abusive Obama was for issuing so many executive orders.

BTW have you seen any reports on the number of executive orders issued by Trump? You know, like the weekly updates we got from the media when Obama was president? NEITHER HAVE I.
