The timeline on the Trump/Comey dinner.

This is a small detail that was reported on CNN this morning.

The dinner engagement was one that Comey was not really interested in going to, but out of respect for the Presidency, he went.

It was one day after Sally Yates delivered to the White House the news that General Michael Flynn had been compromised and may have been open to blackmail?

Then, Trump invited Comey to dinner - although he pretended that he could not remember who invited whom?

Trump wanted to stay ahead of the investigation and expected to get Comey's commitment that he would be loyal to the White House and end the investigation. Comey did not agree. And he must have known that very evening that he was standing on thin ice?
