Wonder if this new found religion influenced his vote on the apparently unrelated issue of methane gas regulation.

If he'd decided to be the fly in the GOP ointment, might as well go all in.

I don't think McCain's constituents would mind if he declared himself an Independent, and I don't think Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski's voters would, either.

They don't have the guts, IMO. Jim Jeffords did.

Her biggest problem is that she's in the pocket of the NRA and the energy companies.

Just a few R Senators to do the right thing, and the horror ends. I am so effing sick of his words and no action.

He was big into campaign finance reform and ran a strong insurgent campaign against GWB until they pulled some really dirty tricks in the SC primary.... But since then, he lost himself. Ambition got the best of him, I guess.

Oh well. I hope he proves me wrong. He will not run again. Not like he has anything to lose at this point. But for now, he seems to be Mitch McConnell's bitch.

If he really cared about getting money out of politics, he wouldn't have rubber stamped Bush's (and now Trump's) Supreme Court picks.

The few Republican defenders of Trump I've heard on the news have pretty weak defenses. They will bail on him.

If Democrats project an image of party unity and strength (which they are currently doing), we will win the midterms.

one can get just as worried about the 2018 election as the one that was just stolen in 2016 particularly when the GOP controls all three branches of government.
