Part of the trump letter that everyone should be talking about.

Is the part where he said that Comey assured him that he was not the target of the investigation. Regardless of the reason that Comey was fired and regardless if people thought it was right or wrong, republicans should be just as concerned with that part. Wouldn't that be illegal for the sitting POTUS and FBI Director to be discussing that?

you believe the lie. These women know very well how concocted that lie is:

Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice. Comey investigating Trump/co-conspirators for Hatch Act violations.

Truth-suppressing acts by co-conspirators Sessions, Flynn, Kushner create liable for Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice. 18 U.S.C. §§ 1621 to 1623 -- Given perjury, subornation of perjury, false declarations, the assertion of a false affirmative statement by an individual testifying under oath accompanied by other obstructive, evasive testimony, such as a false denial of knowledge or memory, an offense may exist. 18 U.S.C. §§ 371 and 372--conspiracies to commit any offense against the United States, or to prevent or retaliate in response to the lawful discharge of the duties of Federal officers ...

18 U.S. Code § 1505 - Obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and committees

If he said this or not.
There should be no reason to not answer.

and not be suspicious about it. There's no logical (or professional) reason to put that in there unless there is something else going on. I'm surprised that the letter was even made available for the public. Did he think that nobody would notice or care that he threw that in there? It's deeply troubling (and probably illegal?) for the FBI to be talking with the target of an investigation (esp. if it's POTUS) about the status of said investigation but I tend to doubt that- despite him being a douchebag- Comey would have done that or said those things.

that the Republicans would be howling like a rabid pack of wolves if PBO had put out a letter like this. He'd probably would have been impeached by noon today for sure. Of course, PBO was a President of a DRASTICALLY higher caliber. It's depressing where we are today.
