years, as a pol in Connecticut, Blumenthal would talk of his great bravery and conquests in Vietnam - except he was never there. When....
caught, he cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness...and now he is judge & jury. He should be the one who is investigated for his acts.
The Roger Stone report on @CNN is false - Fake News. Have not spoken to Roger in a long time - had nothing to do with my decision.

(56,828 posts)a few months ago... In his many years of public service, Blumenthal has spoken to veteran's groups on countless occasions - hundreds of times, if not not thousands. Blumenthal always mentioned that he did not serve in Vietnam - except on one or two occasions where that one phrase was forgotten. However, because he's a public official and gets recorded, the one or two times he misspoke became as exaggerated as Al Gore invented the internet here in Connecticut by his political opponent (Linda McMahon, currently one of the few semi-sane people in the Trump cabinet) and the media.

Why doesn't this surprise me? Sounds like Biden's "plagiarism" problem that happened when he changed a few lines in his standard speech.
