The sitting President of the United States is an enemy of our country. Let that sink in.

That is an extremely sobering truth that we have to come to terms with.

I do not make that charge lightly. There have been other presidents who grossly abused their powers and embarrassed the office--Richard Nixon and George W. Bush immediately come to mind.

But this is different. This is worse.

Donald Trump needs to be legally removed from office and imprisoned for the rest of his natural life.

Period.

It's easy to get jaded by media overload. Yes, crisis this and crisis that. Breaking news, breaking news. Blah, blah.

As a nation, we tend to assume that, for as long as we have television, the world is safe. The Constitution doesn't matter if we can turn on our TVs and see programming.

This is a serious problem, and the reason that the entire nation isn't IN THE STREETS, RIGHT NOW, with outrage, and why Trumpy isn't being dragged out of the White House and beaten to a pulp.

their loyalty to the country over their party. To do that they must install an independent special prosecutor, who trump can't fire, to find out if our sitting president is in collusion with Russia.

The Republicans are in charge of all branches of government so it's up to them.

So far we haven't heard from Ryan but McConnell has shown he is nothing but a repug by saying there will be no special prosecutor.

their own asses. mcconnell and ryan are likely compromised as well, so they are trying to save their own skins. Same with chaffetz, sessions, etc. This goes very deep (or wide, depending upon how you want to view it). We have just seen the tip of the iceberg so far.

That is the hardest part for me to accept: the delay, effort, & additional damage done, etc of it happening the right way.

We must remind ourselves how the hindsight will be from historians, from Trump, from his collaborators, and from the entire world's perspective of having had the entire, seemingly irrevocably conflicted partisan system they tried to destroy coalesce together to strip their POWER, WEALTH & INFLUENCE will be worth it.

It has to be to prove that not only are all of these crooks wrong, that their political philosophy failed because of it being so wrong.

Rhetorical question Tommy, how is it you manage to fit 50 stars in that tiny flag when the trump white house can't manage it in over 4 times the space?

How many people are dead now in Iraq and Syria because of the destabilization that was brought by the war in Iraq? 750,000-1 million? And that is to say nothing the financial costs of it and the long term ramifications of the stability of the region.

The only irrevocable thing Trump has done is Gorsuch. Everything else can be undone in 2 to 4 years. Those people are dead and are never coming back. That region is going to be a disaster for decades. There are people in those countries coming into adulthood who've known nothing but death and destruction their entire life with no end in sight.

At this point I say no. What Trump has done is not worse than what W did in Iraq. Therefore in my opinion W is worse.

Does Trump have potential to do worse? Absolutely but in my book he has not dethroned W as the worst President ever yet.

I really think the Bush administration should have been prosecuted for their lies getting us into Iraq invasion. Obama, and Democrats in general, are too soft on crimes committed by Repubs. A Democrat wouldn't have gotten a pass on something so serious. I know this was years ago but I so wanted to see Bush, Cheney, Rove and the rest in orange jumpsuits and handcuffs. The Republican crimes have gotten progressively worse every time they're in power with their unending quest for money and power.

Trump is happily beholden to a foreign, and arguably hostile, power.

Maybe so they will be more likely to stay loyal. Maybe that is why he has not filled so many posts. because that many super loyal people are hard to find. I'm not ragging on your post, but for some of us, that concept sunk in long ago, and we've been living with the fear and trepidation of what Trump truly is and can do.

Our country will never be the same again.

MY fear is that Trump is going to get away with his crimes. There is NO doubt in my mind that Trump sold out to Russia, not only to get elected, but probably from decades ago to save his ass in business. No doubt.

Frankly, I cannot understand how any rational, thinking person could conclude otherwise with all of the evidence already pointing to that conclusion. And yet I still find people every day defending Trump. They will defend anything and everything he did because they hate Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama THAT much.

That's the part that really scares me - that I live amongst such utter, senseless, ass-backwards hate and ignorance. These idiots would kill someone for disagreeing with them.

Our constitution needs to be used for something other than the 2nd amendment.


Some Trumpers would repeal the 14th amendment because of this other section:

Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

I'm hoping that the rule of law will prevail, but I'm not sure.
What happens when a gang, a Mob comes in - like a swarm of termites and carpenter wasps, to bribe elected officials and a few other "community leaders" to take over a city or county? You no longer have elected officials, and rights under the common law suddenly only applies to a select few approved by the Mob leaders living far, far away from that community.
This is what has happened.
Can we recover? Yes. Will we have what we used to have?
Probably not. We'll have to fight for what will be left after have to watch our lives be torn down and be left with whatever's left from the destruction and looting the Oligarchs and their GOP enablers have wrought.

that is the Republican party. He is no more an enemy than Nixon (Watergate, secret negotiations with Vietnam, abandoning 1700 POWs, election rigging), Ford (pardoned Nixon), Reagan (secret negotiations with Iran, policies to favor the wealthy), Bush I (father tried to overthrow FDR, complicit with Reagan, cowardice in not helping Russia the first winter that communism fell [or to keep that ever present bogie man so $$$ flow], Bush 2 (heck with Trump, he now seems normal, but starting 2 wars with the wrong countries, allowing 9/11, "Clean Skies", "Healthy Forests, etc.)
Our country was founded on equal opportunity and the royalists, Tories, alt-right or whatever you want to call them have re-invented the monarchy with inherited wealth that is to rule us all if the boot-licking cowardly right gets it's way.

in regard to Hillary's e-mails. Since then things have only become worse with the passing of each day. We now live under an oligarchy and the repugs couldn't be more pleased. We the people must hold on to our feelings of rage and betrayal. None of this is "normal" and people should not be allowed to forget that for even a moment. We must fight as hard as we can and win big in the midterms if there is to be any hope for our democracy.

It just breaks my heart to see an actual, real, traitor as head of our country. Someone who only sought the office for revenge and personal profit. He only cares about rapist and the rw rich, being one himself. Such a little brain, no heart and thoroughly evil person. He isn't a real man, he's too cowardly for that.
