They control all the levers of power. The U.S. as we knew it ended last November.

4. The tiny few who have not colluded will have an incentive to throw Trump under the bus.

Especially if it means they save themselves and their seats.

This has the potential to really damage the GOP as a brand. Who wants to vote for a party of traitors (yes, I know, deplorables)? Several moderates will cause the pendulum to swing the Democratic way.

the top, no adherence to protocol or norms, no sense of duty except to survival and self-preservation, a concentration of govt power into the hands of a very few rabid advisors, no sense of obligation to the truth or fairness or justice, purging of dissent within all branches of govt, marriage of govt and private money, and no effective checks and balances.

MJoe was right this morning....THIS IS A LIVE, STRESS TEST OF OUR DEMOCRACY AND IT'S NOT A DRILL.

We've already failed the first sections of the test, allowing someone who laughed at Sessions to be convicted of a crime; allowing the House investigation of the WH to be controlled by the WH; for years allowing lies to be media headlines; allowing Breitbart into the WH; Citizens United; dilution of voting rights; SCOTUS seat robbery; and much more. We are working on an 'F' failing grade right now...and if we try real hard the rest of the way we might raise our grade to a passing 'C'.

Whether or not we ultimately pass the rest might come down, literally, to a few GOP senators. And we might get only one shot at it.
